Szabó, Ákos

Biography:

1936 he was born on 9th June in Budapest
1942-44 he started his piano studies at the preparation course of Hungarian Academy of Music.
1945-50 he studies piano as a private student.
1950-54 he is a student of Vásárhelyi Zoltánné and Major Ervin in Erkel Ferenc Grammar School of Music, majoring in composing and piano.
1954-60 he attends Kmetty János' and later Bernáth Aurél's classes in the Hungarian University of Fine Art, majoring in painting.
1959-60 Altogether with Csernus Tibor, Kóka Ferenc, Gyémánt László, Lakner László and Méhes László, he assists the spontaneous birth of movement sur-naturalism, later called magical realism, which Jean Clair placed with his usual insight- including Sándorfi István -into 20th century European Art History under the title Budapest School in 1972.
1960-65 he survives the early years of his career in obligate marginality as a "tolerated enemy of the regime".
1964 15th July, his daughter, Laura is born
1965 he arrives to Paris for the invitation of Kazimir Romanovicz, director of Galerie Lambert. He decides to settle down in Paris.  
1967 9th June, his son Kristóf is born.
1970 10th April, his twin daughters, Irina and Aurelie are born.
1980 4th April, his son, Pierre is born.
1981 his student, Laura starts her exhibiting artist's career.  
1983 13th May, his son, Antonin is born.
1988 his student, Kristóf starts his exhibiting artist's career.
1993 his student, Irina starts her exhibiting artists' career.
1994 his student and wife, Michèle starts her exhibiting artist's career.
1995 he moves to Normandy, Gavray from Paris.
2003 his student, Antonin starts his exhibiting artist's career.
