Nemes, István

He was born in Hódság, 1947. He completed his art studies in Belgrade and Novi Sad. He took field trips to the Balkan Mountains, cities of northern Italy (Milan, Turin, Verbania, Vigevano), Sardinia and countless colony from Gyimes to Normandy. In 1994 he settled in Hungary. From 1969 he has exhibition continuously. He debut solo exhibitions in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Subotica, Backa Topola, Senta, Transylvania, Slovenia, Italy, Germany, Budapest, Debrecen, Miskolc, Pécs, Szeged, Baja and Kaposvár. He participated in National Watercolor Biennials, Triennale in Eger, Hungary Landscape Biennials in Hatvan, Autumn Exhibitions in Hódmezővásárhely, Winter Exhibitions in Kecskemet, International Biennial in Belgrade with the Hungarian Watercolor Society. With individual technique painted birds were in international exhibitions, such as in Baton Rouge (Louisiana, USA), where they won the prize of the jury and the audience, in Lausanneban (Switzerland), Ludwigshafen (D), Courmayeur (Aosta, Italy), Budapest, Sopron. He exhibited with contemporary Hungarian artists at home and abroad, such as the Unicorn Group (Csíkszentmihályi Robert sculptor, Judit Nagy tapestry artist, György Szemadám painter, writer and Meszlényi Attila painter), András Végh painter, József Benes painter, Gerle Margit ceramist, Ferenc Puha painter, János Aknay painter, Róbert Sütő painter, Ferenc S. Apor artist, the Hungarian Watercolor Society, Workshop Association, Association 9 +1 and Baja Nagy Istvan Association. He currently lives and works in Somogyfajsz.
