Balogh, Gyula

Biography

He lives in Monor. 1970-1975: Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts, master: Sarkantyú Simon. From 1975 he led the drawing study circle for adults of the Csili Cultural Center in Pesterzsébet ten years. 1983-84 and the 1987-88 as an assistant teacher he taught drawing at the Fine and Applied Arts High School in the Török Pál Street, Budapest. He is a founding member of the Society of Hungarian Water Colours. As founding member of the 1969 reorganized Art Colony of Gyula he is initiator of socio-graphic realism.  His paintings characterized by a more realistic development and sociological interest.From 1976 he participate in the group exhibitions of the Art Colony of Gyula. From 1986 he exhibit in the Watercolor Biennial in Eger. 2010 - he is the leadre of The Summer Art Colony of Gyula.
